About Natasha

Natasha Kharbanda, LCSW, (Pronouns: She/Her/Hers)
Born and raised in India, Natasha moved to the United States in 2006 to pursue a Masters in Social Work from San Jose State University. Her cross-cultural background has equipped her with a unique understanding of the diverse community in the Bay Area, which she has served since 2008. Natasha has worked with individuals from various walks of life, including low-income populations, seniors, domestic violence survivors, and individuals living with mental illness. She also currently works within the medical field to assist patients and families navigating crisis situations.
Therapeutic Approach:
As a Certified Gottman Therapist and the first South Asian to be certified in California, Natasha specializes in helping couples navigate relationship challenges with clarity and care. She uses this research-based approach to assess relational dynamics and provide practical tools to improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection.
Natasha’s overall approach to therapy is non-judgmental and compassionate. She understands that everyone is on their own unique path, doing the best they can. In sessions, she works collaboratively with clients to identify the changes they wish to make and supports them in taking actionable steps toward their goals.
Her work is grounded in evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness practices. Each session is tailored to meet the unique needs and circumstances of the individual or couple, creating space for meaningful and lasting change.
